The hunt for an away win continues for Killie as they travel to Pittodrie tonight (6 December) to face a struggling Aberdeen side. However, the Dons will take confidence from the fact that Killie are yet to win away from Rugby Park in the Premiership this season and they have only won in the Granite City twice since 2010.

The hosts come into this one in 10th place and winless in their last three league matches, putting pressure on Barry Robson. Robson’s former manager, Derek McInnes and his Kilmarnock side will still, however, need to be wary of the Dons’ attacking threat with the likes of Bojan Miovski and Jamie McGrath often getting on the scoresheet, not forgetting others like Duk.

Killie go into this one off the back of a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Hearts, which means they dropped out of the top six, so the incentive for Killie is clear. Win, and return to the top half of the table.

Derek McInnes will remember the last time Killie tasted victory at Pittodrie as he was in the Dons dugout. The Ayrshire side won 2-0 back in September 2018, thanks to Eamonn Brophy and a stunning strike from Greg Stewart, who, of course, joined Aberdeen shortly after that.

Kilmarnock will be without long-term absentees Kyle Magennis and Innes Cameron. As for our hosts, they return to a full squad after winger Shayden Morris returned to full training.

Fingers crossed tonight is the night that Killie can get that much-needed victory on the road.
